Tommie Patillo “Disabled Veteran” began his active-duty career in August of 1990 and has held various leadership positions. He served in multiple Communications Chief billets within the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and 12th Marine Regiment to include Detachment Commander at American Embassies in Oslo, Norway; Lagos, Nigeria; and Valletta, Malta.
He has deployed for Operation RESTORE HOPE in Somalia with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, as well as multiple Joint Task Force deployments.
He began his post military career with Marine Corps Community Services at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in September of 2010. During his last billet he had the pleasure of serving as Deputy Director of the Food, Leisure, Hospitality, & Services Division. In this capacity, he oversaw all revenue generating opportunities for both Direct and Indirect Business Operations across three military bases: Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. Mr. Patillo previously served as the Operations Officer, Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow.
As the Operations Officer for Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, he oversaw the operations of multiple programs, resources, and operations in direct support of Marines, Sailors, and their families while focusing on operational and fiscal readiness. Prior to serving as the Operations Officer for Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, he served as the Operations Officer for Del Mar
Recreation Beach, which focused on the welfare and recreation of the Marines, Sailors, and families. He has also served as the Vending Services Manager for the Food, Leisure, Hospitality, & Services Division.
Tommie was born in Forrest City Arkansas and has been married to his wife Tonya for over 32 years. He has four children, Kiara, Janelle, Jordan and Jaydon who services as a 1st Responder and Fire Fighter for the City of Ontario California.
When not working or volunteering, Tommie maintains many relationships that he developed through the years of service and country. His favorite pastime is spending quality time with his family.
He has a bachelor’s degree in business, he also holds a Master’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources. He is also a graduate of the Michigan State University Executive Leadership Program.
