Scott D. Myers Jr. is a United States Air Force medical professional specialized in Diagnostic Radiology. Scott leverages his multifaceted medical field experience to lead integrative initiatives combining medical insights with legal strategies. He dedicates himself to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the delivery of healthcare service, ensuring that Veterans receive the care and support they deserve.
Scott graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University where he majored in both Biomedical Science and Neuroscience. He earned his Doctorate from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine – graduating in the 90th percentile of his class. He completed a General Surgery internship at UC Davis Medical Center and Diagnostic Radiology residency at David Grant Medical Center where he received the Kuykendall Memorial Award in recognition as the most learned graduate.
Dr. Myers has established a continual presence in the scientific research community with multiple medical journal publications and conference presentations. He has contributed works to the American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, and American Academy of Neurology among several other professional societies. His research has focused on a variety of topics spanning from Orthopedic hardware complications to antibiotic resistance in E. coli. He was awarded a certificate of merit by the American Roentgen Ray Society for his educational exhibit addressing inattention blindness in Radiology interpretation.
Beyond medical and academic accomplishments, Scott has held multiple extracurricular leadership roles. Examples of his service include volunteering as a state level delegate for the American Medical Association and his tenure as president of the Pre-Medicine and Osteopathic Society at Central Michigan University.
Maj Myers currently serves as Radiology Medical Director at RAF Lakenheath Hospital in the UK, interpreting medical imaging for service members while leading development of departmental protocols and operating instructions. He also practices independently as a Teleradiologist in support of emergency imaging services across the United States.
